WHAT ARE GROUPS?

GROUPS are small groups of approximately six to eight married couples, or 10-20 individuals, that meet weekly in someone’s home for sharing, study, discussion, and prayer. Groups are assigned around a person’s season of life and existing Group sizes. We call our Group types Parents of Young Children, Empty Nesters, Singles 40+, Etc.  

Our Groups begin with a Starter Group that lasts for 6 weeks. If the Starter Group gels well and wants to continue for another 9 months we will turn the Starter Group into a Group (long-term group). Otherwise we will reassign the Starter Group attenders into various other existing Groups of type.

MINISTRIES AND FELLOWSHIPS

We also have various Ministries and Fellowships. These are not in our Group system as our Groups exclusively focus on the content of our workshop topics. Ministries are focused on special studies. Fellowships are for friends at LifePointe who want to fellowship more often together, but not study the workshop topics. Fellowships are secondary to workshops. We ask that if someone wants to attend a Fellowship that they do that as a secondary commitment to their Group. Our LifePointe vision cannot be fulfilled in a person's life without their involvement in Groups.

 

MINISITRIES

MINISTRY:  A ministry is a special program aimed at various needs. Our ministries would include:

  • PRAYER - A gathering of prayers who meet on a regular basis to pray for our church, city, nation and world.

    • Prayer Group (Charismatic/Tongues Emphasis) - Sundays @ 7:00pm / Ken & Ahvy Whiteside - kenahvy@me.com

  • CONQUER (PURE DESIRE) - Helping men win the Biblical masculinity battle including compulsive behaviors like anger management, emotional attunement, pornography/sexual addiction and more.

  • ADDICTION SUPPORT - All chemical, food, gambling and other addictions

  • GRIEF SHARE - Support for anyone struggling through the death of a loved one

 

FELLOWSHIPS

FELLOWSHIPS:  A Fellowship is an extra social event for the primary purpose of connection, recreation and fun. Because Fellowships do not follow a topic, we ask that all Fellowship attenders FIRST prioritize a Group, then SECONDARILY attend a Fellowship. We have designed the "heroic discipleship process" with a priority on Groups. Our vision cannot be fulfilled for a person's life without their attendance at Groups. Some of our Fellowships would include:

  • LADIES - Ladies gather randomly, and in seasons

  • MAN UP - Men gather for sessions every month on Saturdays at 8AM. We also feature Man Up Events throughout the year.
