DEVO:

Do you know you HAVE spiritual authority? Do you know that God is not going to do what He gave you to do? You have been given spiritual authority to rule over your life, enforcing in this fallen world the Redemption that Christ legally wrought for you. Spiritual authority means you rule submitted to and under the authority of God. Spiritual authority means you establish God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17 NKJV)

Do you know ALL the miracles of Jesus (there are 34 case studies) were executed without one record of “petitioning the Father God” in prayer TO DO them?  And do you know the first century Apostle’s miracles (there are 14 case studies) were executed without one record of “petitioning the Father God or Jesus" in prayer TO DO them? ALL 48 miracles (Jesus' and Apostles) were executed through spiritual authority.

Prayer, in terms of partnership with God, is obviously invaluable to walking in authority. Most people think of prayer as asking God to DO IT. Spiritual authority is God asking YOU to DO IT. You can’t do this without a living partnership in God’s anointing. What is amazing is that YOU ARE ANOINTED and have been given the delegation to exercise authority over your life. This is a supernatural exercise; it brings supernatural results.

There is no doubt Jesus and the apostles all communed with God the Father in an ever-present reality. There’s no question there was an ongoing unbroken bond with the Father, with Jesus, and with the Holy Spirit. But there is a difference in living in the richness of heavenly relationship, and then stepping WITH that partnership to execute spiritual authority for miracles. Jesus, in his earthly ministry, and the early disciples knew the logistics of authority and where responsibilities had fallen. God delegated authority to believers and then believers executed that authority. They knew there was no need—in fact it would be inappropriate—to "ask" God to do the things He gave believers responsibility and equipping to do. In the business marketplace this is called “boomerang delegation”; where an employee delegates their responsibilities back up the flow chart. If it is dysfunctional in the business order it is equally dysfunctional in the spiritual order.

In none of these 48 miracles of Jesus and the Apostles did they petition God for a miracle. Not one. Every single time there is a communication, decree, or command of authority that is the precursor to the miracle.

Maybe, while you are waiting on God to sovereignly answer a prayer, God is waiting on you to engage your spiritual authority by taking dominion over the situation. Most of us can envision taking responsibility over natural things, or even doing physical work for God. But for many, envisioning God giving you authority and responsibility to work miracles hits the choke point.

How in the world could YOU ever be responsible to work miracles? This is why Jesus gave you the Holy Spirit to indwell and immerse you. Remember, even Jesus said, "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.“ (John 14:10 NKJV)

Just because this has never been your experience doesn't mean that it isn't God's vision and calling in your life.

Today, take spiritual dominion over your life. Speak fervently the declarations HERE. God has given you the Holy Spirit to make these declarations effectual!!

PRAYER:

Dear Lord God, I set my heart in honor of what Christ has done in Redemption for me. Since Redemption requires that I execute my free choice to partner with You in spiritual authority, I surrender to You in exercising it. This is my worship to You. Help me become proficient in taking my position as a King, decreeing Your will over my life. When I don’t feel like I have authority or don’t feel worthy, I will place my eyes on You. I will move in authority because You are worthy!

PRAYER PLAN:

●     Authority for Church Faith Community – That EVERY ATTENDER at my local church faith community would experience the revelation of Redemptive Spiritual Authority.

●     Church Faith Community 20-30 Young Adults - That 20-30's at my local church faith community would find community, encounters, and purpose.

SUGGESTED READING:  PHILIPPIANS 1 (NIV)

Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons: 2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

19 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.

27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

DECLARATION:

I have been made a king and a priest unto my God (Rev 1:6; 1 Cor 4:8). I have received the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, so I step into my Redeemed position to rule and reign in my life (Rom 5:17). My feelings do not determine my kingship. My rationale doesn’t determine my kingship. Christ, through Redemption, has established me as a king. So I honor Christ’s Redemptive work by fully stepping into acts of authority today. I will speak to mountains and they will obey me (Mark 11:23). I will resist the devil and he will flee from me (James 4:7). I will decree a thing and it will be established (Job 22:28).
