OPENING PRAYER

GROUP SESSION VIDEO

This semester in Group focuses on the topic of Faith:  What Faith Is, taught by our friend, Keith Moore of Faith Life Church in Branson, Missouri and Sarasota, Florida.

CONVERSATION QUESTIONS

The below questions serve as a guide to conversation. Select those which you feel will spark conversation, depth and growth in understanding.

  1. How do we know God's character? How does someone know your character?
  2. Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is the evidence of things we hope for and the confidence or conviction of things not seen. How do we know God is faithful and that we can hope for something? Have you ever been afraid to hope for something? Why were you afraid?
  3. Hebrews 10:22 says to hold fast the profession or confession of our faith without wavering. Pastor Keith mentioned how when we waver on something it will immediately show up in our mouth. We say "I don't know", "maybe it won't work," etc. What have you found that helps you not to speak negative things when you are facing a trial? Or how do you trigger speaking God's Word instead?
  4. Assignment for this week:  Pastor Keith mentioned finding a phrase or word that God quickens to you. This week spend some time to find this phrase for a situation you are going through. Bring to group next week to share what God is speaking to you.

PRAYER

(Encourage others to pray, gaining confidence in public prayer in a safe environment)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you again for your amazing, life changing Word you have spoken to us tonight. We ask that you quicken our hearts this week to find the phrases and words you are speaking to us and to boldly declare your Word over our situations. Thank you for our unchangeableness.

In Jesus Name, Amen
