New Job By Standing on the Word of God

Hello,

I wanted to share with you a recent experience I had. Around April we made the decision that I needed to get out of my present job. I set a high goal of getting into a new career that is difficult to get into without experience. I have heard of people waiting 3 years to get into this field without prior experience. It is highly competitive and highly rewarding.

Applying, interviewing with multiple people and then waiting to hear feedback is a slow, slow process. Something that I have struggled with for a long time is patience and anxiety when I have to wait. But, I am a believer that I have favor from God and am living in His grace.

I had several interviews with a particular company and then had to sit back and wait and wait and wait. I meditated on this verse over and over again for weeks.

There's more to come. We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling short changed. Quite the contrary -- we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit.  Romans 5:3-5 The Message.

I wanted passionate patience!! So I turned it over to God and felt the anxiety lessen. I waited in alert expectancy to see what God's plan was for me. I focused on all the blessings that surrounded me and I felt peace, at least most of the time. In weak moments, I submerged myself in His word and listened to Christian music only. Lots and lots of praying.

I also had an interview with another company for a completely different job. I believe I would do well in this other position, but it wasn't the one I really wanted. I felt a bit confused over whether or not to accept this job or hold out for the position that I really wanted not knowing if or when I would be offered my dream position. During the interview when I met with 6 people, in my mind I kept singing the verse "You make all things work together for my good". I knew God would lead me to the right decision.

Yesterday I found out that I GOT THE JOB!!!!! The one I really wanted. I am so amazingly blessed. Faith and Prayer Works!

I just wanted to share this with you.

In Him,

XX
