READY FOR THE LIT LIFE - PART 2

TODAY'S PREACHING MESSAGE

JOHN 1 MSG 1-2 The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one. 3-5 Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!—came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.

JOHN 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

TRUTH:

If you want to ______ clearly,

_______ is the only option.

He is the ______.

2 KINGS 6:16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

LUKE 4:18 [Jesus said] The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…

ACTS 9:3 Suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

ACTS 26: 17B-18 I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.

CHALLENGE: _________

PHILIPPIANS 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

NEHEMIAH 8:10 Joy of the Lord is our strength!

MATTHEW 5:14-16 [Jesus said] You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

ROMANS 14:17 [Paul said] For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

MOVING FORWARD THIS WEEK:

  • WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THIS?
  • HOW WILL YOU USE IT TO HELP/SERVE OTHERS?
