Why do bad things happen to good people? If God is loving, why is human suffering possible? Does the weight of a great life fall on God’s sovereign control, or are there human factors involved too? In this preaching series, KINGS AND KINGDOMS, we will explore how God has delegated to individual believers a kingship, with responsibility to understand the principles that make the kingdom thrive. We will learn how to engage spiritual authority, how to defuse the emotional shame that drives a king to live like an indigent, and ultimately how to live like God’s royal people. ROMANS 5:17 AMP For if because of one man’s trespass (Adam’s original lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing GRACE (unmerited favor) and the free GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS [putting them into right standing with Himself] REIGN AS KINGS IN LIFE through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
CONSIDER THE QUESTION:
If God delegated His rule on earth to His people,
and His people are delinquent to those responsibilities,
how much pain and sorrow have we unduly endured?
How much of our understanding of God has been skewed?
WHAT IS SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY?
The responsibility to rightfully govern and enforce justice.

AUTHORITY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT’S ANOINTING!
DOES EVERY CHRISTIAN POSSESS
THE RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE
OF SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY?
ACTS 1:8 NKJV (Jesus said) But you shall receive POWER when the HOLY SPIRIT has come UPON YOU; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
THERE IS A DEFINITE RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN AUTHORITY AND POWER.

POWER WITHOUT AUTHORITY PRODUCES CHAOS.
AUTHORITY WITHOUT POWER IS USELESS.
JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT POWER
LUKE 4:16-21 NKJV And when Jesus had opened the book [of Isaiah], He found the place where it was written: 18 "The SPIRIT OF THE LORD [is] UPON ME, Because He has ANOINTED ME To PREACH the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to HEAL the brokenhearted, To PROCLAIM LIBERTY to [the] captives And RECOVERY of sight to [the] blind, To SET AT LIBERTY those who are oppressed; 19 To PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD." 20 Then He closed the book, and gave [it] back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
ACTS 10:38 NKJV (Peter preached) …how God ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and with POWER, who went about DOING GOOD and HEALING all who were OPPRESSED by the devil, for GOD WAS WITH HIM.
JOHN 14:9-18 AMP Jesus replied, …10 What I am telling you I do not say on MY OWN AUTHORITY and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the (His) WORKS (His own MIRACLES, DEEDS OF POWER). 11… [If you cannot trust Me, at least let THESE WORKS THAT I DO IN MY FATHER’S NAME convince you.] 12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS THAT I DO; and he will do EVEN GREATER THINGS than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ASK IN MY NAME [as presenting all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. 14 [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] WHATEVER YOU SHALL ASK IN MY NAME [as presenting all that I Am]. … 16 And I will ask the FATHER, and He will give you another COMFORTER (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever— 17 THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for HE LIVES WITH YOU [constantly] and WILL BE IN YOU. 18 I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.
ACTS 1:8; ACTS 2:1-4 NKJV (Jesus said) But you shall receive POWER when the HOLY SPIRIT has come UPON YOU; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and [one] sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
WE ARE ANOINTED
2 CORINTHIANS 1:21 NKJV Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has ANOINTED US [is] God…
1 JOHN 2:20 NKJV But YOU have an ANOINTING from the Holy One, and you know all things.

TO ACTIVATE THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
