REDEMPTION REVIVAL

"Redemption" is the Biblical term for "the gospel." It has to do with all aspects of Jesus' mission to set people free from the effects of sin. Our understanding of Redemption determines how we view God, ourselves, and others. It also is how we make meaning of human suffering; Redemption is the foundation for finding hope and power to live beyond our present pain. Revivals train people for an unwavering theological foundation, experiential application and real life encounters with God, leading people to the REAL JESUS and the POWER OF REDEMPTION!

TODAY’S EPISODE

BIG IDEA

REDEMPTION IS THE LEGAL TERM

FOR ABSOLUTE FORGIVENESS

WITH ALL PENALTIES REMITTED!

EPHESIANS 1:7 NKJV In Him we have REDEMPTION through His blood, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, according to the RICHES OF HIS GRACE.

TITUS 2:14 NKJV …who gave Himself for us, that He might REDEEM us from EVERY LAWLESS DEED (SIN) and PURIFY FOR HIMSELF HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE, zealous for good works.

ROMANS 6:23 NKJV For the WAGES of SIN is DEATH, but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.

MATTHEW 9:2–7 NIV Some men brought to him a PARALYTIC, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN." 3 At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, "This fellow is blaspheming!" 4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 5 WHICH IS EASIER: to say, 'YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN,' or to say, 'GET UP AND WALK'? 6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. . . ." Then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home."  7 And the man got up and went home.

MATTHEW 9:5 AMP For which is easier: to say, Your SINS ARE FORGIVEN and the PENALTY REMITTED, or to say, Get up and walk?

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 NKJV For He [God] made Him [Jesus Christ] who knew no sin TO BE SIN FOR US, that we might BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Him [Christ].

EPHESIANS 2:4-9 NKJV But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His GREAT LOVE with which He loved us, 5 EVEN WHEN we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (BY GRACE you have been SAVED), 6 and raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in the HEAVENLY [PLACES] in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His GRACE in [His] kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by GRACE you have been SAVED through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the GIFT OF GOD, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

EPHESIANS 1:20 NKJV … which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and SEATED [HIM] AT HIS RIGHT HAND in the HEAVENLY [PLACES]

ROMANS 8:16–17 KJV The Spirit itself [Himself] beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And IF CHILDREN, THEN HEIRS; HEIRS OF GOD, and JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
