20/20 LIFE & CHURCH REIMAGINED
2020 will bring vision and clarity! Decades ago, futurists predicted what the world would look like in this milestone-year in human history. They said we would have self-driving cars, vote electronically from home, depression would be a primary disease, people would live on mars, and that we would work 26 hours a week. Some predictions were spot-on, while others have alluded us. Some of us dreamed of “Jetson’s” lifestyles with robot-maids and travel by spaceships. What will be your 2020 predictions for marriage, parenting, business, and church? Will you be happy this year? Where will you be by the end of this decade? Will the derailing compulsions, addictions and unhealthy patterns still haunt you? As a church, what will be the future? Will we reimagine God’s kingdom in church community? Will we find peace, joy and fulfillment? Will we see ourselves with a futuristic clarity? This year will be the beginning of something special!
TODAY’S EPISODE
ISAIAH 61:1-3 TPT The mighty Spirit of Lord Yahweh is wrapped around me because Yahweh has anointed me, as a messenger to preach good news to the poor. Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory. …7 Because you received a DOUBLE DOSE OF SHAME AND DISHONOR, you will inherit a DOUBLE PORTION OF ENDLESS JOY AND EVERLASTING BLISS!
EZEKIEL 36:26 NKJV I will give you a NEW HEART and put a NEW SPIRIT within you; I will take the HEART OF STONE out of your flesh and give you a HEART OF FLESH.
LUKE 4:16–21 TPT When Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been raised, he went into the synagogue, as he always did on the Sabbath day. When Jesus came to the front to read the Scriptures, they handed him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and read where it is written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!.’ I have come to share the message of JUBILEE (the YEAR of the Lord), for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.” After he read this he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the minister, and sat down. Everyone stared at Jesus, wondering what he was about to say. Then he added, “THESE SCRIPTURES CAME TRUE TODAY IN FRONT OF YOU.”
GOD COMPELS US TO IMAGINE NEW THINGS - 2020 IS A NEW YEAR!
NEW THINGS - He tells us He wants to do “new” things.
NEW CREATURES - He makes us “new” creatures from a “new” birth.
NEW WINE - He gives us the “new” wine in “old” wineskins. [Renewed Intimacies & Celebrations, Harvest Time, Holy Spirit Activity, new ways of thinking “wine skins,”]
NEW SONGS - He gives us “new” songs in times of “old” trials.
RENEWED MINDS - Everyday He wants to guide us to “renewed” minds
NEW LIVING WAY - we can have a “new” and living way.
RESURRECTION - Even the Resurrection is about making “old” things “new.”
THE #20 (2020) - BIBLICAL MEANING OF THE NUMBER 20...
Number 20 in Bible symbolizes the cycles of completeness. It is not so widely used, but often it is connected to a perfect period of waiting, labor or suffering that is compared to a trial and rewarded.
Jacob waited 20 years to get his wives and property and to release from his father-in-law.
Solomon was building house for himself and God it total for 20 years, until he got a place to live.
Deborah and Barak managed to release people from the trouble when Jabin, the Canaan king, was oppressing Israel people for 20 years.
Number 20 is associated with transitioning out of trial and suffering, a period; the reward is generous and full of God’s love.
2020? WHAT WILL BE “NEW” FOR YOU?
Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, “No matter what gets done, and how much is left undone, I am enough.”

Brene continues: …When I started thinking about it, I just kept saying to myself, like poker, ‘Man, these people are all in.’ They’re just living and loving fully. Then I thought, there’s nothing half-hearted about these folks. They feel the dark emotions wholeheartedly, they feel joy wholeheartedly. So then I came up with Wholehearted. Wholehearted, were mindfully trying to stay away from: Comparison. Perfection. Status. Exhaustion. Basically, I just saw that whole list of, overly simplified, the ‘do nots’ just defining my life. The two things that the Wholehearted have in common that are the most important to understand are worthiness and vulnerability.

WHEN A LEADER FALLS WHAT IS THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE ?
THEN WHAT HAPPENS FROM FALLEN LEADERS (COLLATERAL DAMAGE)?
What happens to their economic survival (they have no skills outside of pastoring)?
What happens to their marriages (blistering pain, possible divorce)?
What happens to their kids (disillusioned, pain, deconstruct Jesus, addictive vulnerabilities)?
What happens to their friends (pastors wives are isolated, pastors are blocked)?
What happens to their staffs (disillusioned, pain, suffer with unique brand protection)?
What happens to their congregations (disillusioned, pain, unsaved give up, saved quit church)?
What happens to the outsider (saddened, feels it is hypocritical, confirms no hope at church)?
TOGETHER WE ABSOLUTELY CAN PREVENT THIS!
