LifePointe Family,

Happy and peace-filled Saturday!

Our heart is with you in faith and peace as society is being flooded with fear! LifePointe’s response to leading and caring for our at-large Kansas City community is to think about those who are at high-risk. Due to several factors we have chosen to host a very special worship experience online only tomorrow, Sunday, March 15. 

Tina and I were originally scheduled to be guest preachers at our sister-church in Kalamazoo, Michigan tomorrow. They have also cancelled tomorrow’s in-person worship experiences to focus on the online experience only. We are now going to have a panel discussion for a joint worship experience here that includes both Valley Family Church and LifePointe Church. Our panel will be Pastors Jeff and Beth Jones, a medical doctor and me. The service will include a full singing worship set and more.

While we are honoring our governing officials for practicing social distancing, we will not be spiritually or relationally distant. Through technology we can still gather, worship together and celebrate. 

We will communicate early next week about the day-to-day items of LifePointe like Groups, Surge Youth, etc.

In the meantime, remember PSALM 23:

PSALM 23:1-6 NKJV

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You [are] with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

We do not have a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We are praying for you.
