DEVO:

Does God want to lead you?  Does God want to commune with you, even in ways similar to a conversation? If so, how does He do it?

Psalm 37:23-24 (AMP) The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].  24 Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.

Romans 8:14, 16 (NKJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ... 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

God is Omniscient—He has infinite knowledge. He knows all things. God’s knowledge is perfect. He does not have to reason, discover things, or learn gradually. He never has an idea. He cannot be surprised. His knowledge of past, present, and future events is complete. Nothing happens anywhere of which He is ignorant. AND this is the God who desires to lead you. It is a profound thought that the God of all creation would want to guide you. As wild as this may sound to you, consider this:  God needs you to be led by Him more than you could possibly “want to be!”

He leads you most often through your spirit with "knowings," "seems good to your spirit," "promptings," and "revelations." Many times, however, you seek guidance by means other than the way God said; you seek guidance through your 5 physical senses (seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, and tasting). God wants to lead you through your spirit hearing His voice.

Most people lean on the authority of their 5 physical senses rather than their spirit. When you do, you get into trouble. Nowhere does God say that He will guide you through your physical senses. Even Gideon's fleece is an observation, not a doctrine. We often try to figure things out from a mental/reasoning standpoint. But nowhere does the Bible say He will guide you through your mental reasonings. You are to be led by His Spirit in your spirit. Yes, your enlightened spirit, by the Holy Spirit, will inform your mental reasonings. But you should never let your spirit’s direct connection with God take a back seat to the mental dominance of 5 physical sense reasonings.

This divine leading begins with you seeking to love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The greater this truth is demonstrated in your heart, the more obvious and reliable these leadings are. If you are neglectful of seeking to love God through regular bondings with Him, it is likely your leadings will be less reliable. It is foolish to think that God will override your neglect in intimacy to miraculously make your heart sensitive to his voice. Your emergency to hear from God does not mean you will be competent in your hearing. Yet God longs for you to hear His voice with clarity.

Seek to know God, and you will know His voice and promptings. Seeking "inside information" is an altered motive. Seek to know God, and you will find "inside information" becomes a common occurrence.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord God, You said that I was your sheep and I would know Your voice. I ask you to train me in learning Your voice. I want to know it so clearly that I will never follow the voice of a stranger. I surrender my heart, my mind, and my 5 physical senses to You. Speak to me, not in an event, but in a lifelong process of developmental clarity. Stir my faith that I KNOW Your voice. In Jesus Name.

PRAYER PLAN:

Guidance Development for Church Faith Community – That EVERY ATTENDER at my local church faith community would strive to KNOW God’s voice in personal relationship and leadings.

SUGGESTED READING:  PHILIPPIANS 3 (NIV)

Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— 4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

DECLARATION:

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He LEADS me (Ps 23:1-2). I am His sheep and I KNOW His voice, and the voice of a stranger I will not follow (John 10:4). The Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. As a child of God I AM ALWAYS led by God’s Spirit (Rom 8:14). The Holy Spirit speaks to me as He did the great leaders of the Bible. I hear His voice clearly and I obey in faith!

WORKSHOP SATURATION:

Workshop saturation is taking spiritual topics and listening to them until they change the way you think, believe, and live. During the Awakening fast, we encourage you to binge-listen or binge-watch our Workshops the way you would binge-watch a show on Netflix.
